Create an original designed typeface with a full upper and lower case and numbers.

The Process
When I sat down to create a font, I knew immediately that I wanted to focus on creating a display font. After bouncing around a few ideas, I landed on creating a typeface inspired by constellations. I first started by sketching out each letter by hand on graph paper to make sure everything lined up well. From there, I scanned the sketches and made digital versions using Illustrator. Using a specific artboard with guidelines, I placed each letter into the file to ensure everything lined up with the baselines, and the length of ascenders and descenders were the same

The typeface is named Orion’s Belt after a famous constellation. It is a display font that can be used on posters, journals, and more.
